Welcome to Yipa—an app for emotional journaling and I Ching–based guidance. We hope it accompanies you gently as you record feelings and find new perspectives. By using the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
1. Parties and Scope
These Terms are between you and Shanghai Chaowei Emerging Technology Consulting Co., Ltd. ("we") regarding your use of the Yipa mobile app, website, and related services. These Terms and our Privacy Policy together form the full agreement between you and us. If they conflict on personal information, the Privacy Policy governs.
2. The Service
Yipa provides emotional journaling, AI replies, and I Ching–based guidance. The service is for companionship and reference only—not psychological treatment, medical diagnosis, legal, or financial advice. [Important] • If you are in crisis or have thoughts of harming yourself or others, contact local emergency or mental health services immediately • Yipa does not replace doctors, therapists, or other professionals • You should make life decisions independently based on your own judgment
3. Eligibility and Account
You must have full legal capacity to use the App; if you are under 18, use it only with guardian consent and supervision. You agree to: • Provide truthful registration information • Keep your account credentials and recovery phrase secure; you bear losses from your own disclosure or loss • Be responsible for activity under your account • Not use the App for unlawful, infringing, or disruptive purposes
4. AI and Divination
AI replies in the App are automatically generated and labeled (e.g., "Generated by AI"). I Ching divination is based on traditional culture and philosophy for perspective and inspiration—not predictions, guarantees, or professional advice. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of AI or divination outputs.
5. Paid Features and Virtual Items
The App may offer in-app purchases (e.g., point packs). Prices and rules are shown in the App and subject to the relevant app store policies. Virtual items (e.g., points) are not legal tender, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are generally non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by law or store rules. Benefits are delivered per in-app rules after payment. If your account is suspended for violating these Terms, unused virtual items may not be restored.
6. Intellectual Property
We or our licensors own intellectual property in the App, UI, trademarks, documentation, and other materials we create. You retain rights in emotion and divination content you create (once decrypted). You grant us a non-exclusive, revocable license to use such content only as needed to provide, store, sync, and improve the service, within the limits of end-to-end encryption. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the App without authorization.
7. Changes, Interruption, and Termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the service for maintenance, upgrades, legal requirements, or business reasons, and will try to give reasonable notice in the App or on our website. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: • The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties of continuity or error-free operation • We are not liable for losses due to force majeure, network failures, third-party services, or your own actions (including loss of your recovery phrase) • Our liability for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising from use or inability to use the App is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the relevant paid service in the past 12 months (or CNY 100 for free use), except where mandatory law provides otherwise
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through in-app notice, website announcement, or other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance; if you disagree, stop using the App and delete your account.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (mainland), excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring suit in a court with jurisdiction where our company is located.
